High Temperature Water Source Heat Pump Unit

With the increasing contradiction between energy supply and demand, how to effectively use energy and recycle various waste heat to save energy and reduce consumption has become an urgent problem. High temperature Water Source Heat Pump Unit is an effective technology developed recently to solve the energy and environmental issues in the petrochemical industry. At present, this technology has been widely used in the petrochemical industry in Europe and the United States.

A Heat Pump System is an energy utilization system that transfers heat energy from a low temperature object to a high temperature object at the expense of a portion of high quality energy (mechanical energy, electrical energy, etc.) or high temperature potential energy, through thermal cycling. High temperature Water Source Heat Pump is a type of high-temperature heat pump. It uses the waste heat from various industrial waste waters to produce hot water of 70°C~90°C, which can be directly used for heating and general industrial heating.

In the petrochemical industry, crude oil gathering and transportation systems are the basic production systems of oil fields, and the energy consumption of this system is relatively high. A typical crude oil technology system needs to consume heat energy and consume power in the process of extracting crude oil from the formation into processed crude oil, and the heat energy mainly comes from the natural gas produced by the oil field. In the past, reducing the heat loss and increasing the efficiency of the heating furnace has been the main method to save the thermal energy consumption of the oil field, and the application of the waste heat recovery technology is a weak link.

At present, many oil fields in China have been mined in the middle and later stages, and the water content in the crude oil produced is huge. 70% of the produced water, like 30% of crude oil, needs to be pumped and heated in the furnace to be transported from the wellhead to the joint station for oil-water separation. The temperature of the separated sewage is between 40°C and 60°C. Taking Shengli Oilfield as an example, there are currently 52 oil recovery and sewage stations, and the external sewage volume is 720,000 cubic meters/day. The sewage water temperature is between 50°C and 70°C. There are 14 water stations where the water temperature is above 60°C, and the external water discharge is about 260,000 cubic meters/day, which is a considerable amount of available thermal energy.

If a high temperature heat pump is used to extract 5°C heat for recovery, the recoverable energy is 73,000 kW. Taking into account the heat output of the heat pump, up to 100,000 kilowatts, which is equivalent to the heat value of 10t/h crude oil, that is, the annual capacity of 87600 tons of crude oil. If the use of heat pumps to reduce the temperature of oily wastewater by 20°C to achieve 30°C emissions, it can save 350,000 tons of crude oil per year, which is equivalent to 1% of crude oil production in Shengli Oilfield. It can be seen that the application of high-temperature water-source heat pumps will maximize the utilization of waste heat resources in the oil and petrochemical industries, create economic value of several billion yuan or even billions of yuan, and create a new way of saving energy and reducing consumption.
